In this paper authors proposed the approach for investigation of photonic switches performance metrics in modern optical networks. The approach including analytical and simulation modelling has allowed more accurate to determine of the photon switches characteristics and predict their behavior in real networks. It will allow to reduce the cost of physical implementation of photonic switches.
